Explorations in Fresh Leaf Indigo

$100.00

Prepare to be fascinated by the alchemy of fresh leaf indigo.

Experience the ancient wisdom of indigo in it’s fresh leaf form. Persicaria tinctoria, also known as Japanese indigo, grows well in our climate, and lucky for us, this indigotin producing plant packs a lot of punch.

Work with a number of fun and fascinating techniques to extract colour from fresh leaf indigo. Enjoy harvesting straight from the garden, getting your hands blue, all while sipping on a cup of indigo tea!

Students will create on both silk + cotton - taking home a silk bandana + a selection of small cotton + silk projects/samples to adore.

This is a fun workshop for all ages. Young people welcome.
