Explore shape + pattern on cloth. Learn techniques done by makers + dyers around the globe. Express yourself by leaving your own creative mark on cloth. Gather in community + share in the tradition and craft of making with your hands.

This is an introduction to the expansive world of indigo. All experiences welcome. Young people are welcome to join.

A 4 hour workshop offered outdoors in my home studio & garden. (In the case of rain, we will move indoors/undercover).

Students have a choice of creating on:

  • 1 piece: 1 meter x 2 meters - organic cotton (lightweight)

  • 3 pieces: bandanas 24” x 24” - organic cotton (lightweight)

Included in the workshop:

  • Fabric for project + all materials, equipment and dyes.

  • Iced tea, water, a light snack.

What to bring:

  • Please wear clothing to get messy and an apron if you like.

  • Pack a water and sun hat.

  • If you have dietary restrictions, you may want to pack a snack.

  • The garden has partial sun and shade which can be both hot and cool (depending on the day).

You will be eligible to receive a full refund (minus $10 for processing) if a written request is received at least 5 working days before the start of the workshop.
