This quilt is inspired by the Japanese way of living, mottainai ~ using the resources you have, wasting nothing. Off-cuts + scraps in a variety of weights, weaves, and shades of white and natural are intuitively patched together to create the final design. Layered with organic cotton batting and backed with a textured organic cotton. Hand stitching eludes the eye as it changes direction and weaves from white to cream.

Process: undyed off-cuts intuitively stitched and patched together to make the quilt top, layered with organic cotton batting, hand-quilted together. Finished with a wide band of binding and more visual hand stitching. The result is a textured, subtly stunning quilt.
Fibre: mix of organic cotton + linen front, organic cotton batting in the center, natural un-dyed organic cotton back.

Care: Gentle wash in cool water with an earth friendly soap. Avoid harsh generic soaps.
Press in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat or hang to dry.”
