Radiance - indigo noren

$390.00

A unique indigo dyed organic cotton noren ~ a textile creating a divide from one room to another.

Many small stitches create the map for a piece of stitched shibori. Each stitch, a meditation. Step by step, a small stitch becomes part of something greater than itself.  Every step of the process holds beauty, lessons and reminders of patience and possibility.

Created as an intention for your home and heart; A sacred piece of cloth that reminds you of what is true, that creation takes time, and that beauty abounds.

Process: hand stitched, tightly bound and tied, dyed several times in natural indigo

Fibre: 100% organic cotton - textured weave

Details: 36” x 50” - 2 pieces have been hand stitched together to form a connection at the top, and an opening to walk through below. A sleeve for a rod/dowel is hand stitched into the top of the noren.

Gentle love + care: Natural dye hues can shift over time. It reminds us of the impermanence and ever-changing beauty of life.

To keep the colour true, gentle wash in cool water with a pH neutral (pH7) earth friendly soap. Avoid harsh generic soaps. Keep your fibres moving - not sitting to soak.

Press in a towel to remove excess water. Lay flat to dry.

A short time in a tumble dryer on low heat can help enliven the feel and texture of your textile.
